Les Mills, creator of some of the world’s most popular workouts, has developed a new program called THE TRIP that gives members an immersive cycling experience like they’ve never seen before.
THE TRIP puts members through an intense, 40-minute, multi-peak cycling exercise with the visual stimulation of a scenic bike ride. Surrounded by the latest in sound system technology and a gigantic screen, your members won’t feel like they’re in a gym.
With a higher number of gym members nationwide craving immersive workout experiences, more and more health clubs have implemented THE TRIP into their programming.
“The members like that it is so unique,” said Bryan Jarrett, the group fitness manager at TMPL Gym in New York City. “Our members are passionate about this program and it fills up no matter what day or time. It attracts a wide range of levels and is fantastic with people who have never cycled or are intimidated by indoor cycling.”
According to Jarrett, THE TRIP has been a huge draw for current and prospective members. And, it’s easy to manage. “From an operations perspective, it’s amazing to have such innovative technology that is very user friendly and requires very little maintenance,” he said. “We are able to run classes back-to-back all day, seamlessly.”
According to Jarrett, other benefits of the class include: encouraged participation in classes, building of bonds between members, in addition to helping members meet their fitness goals. It can even help increase usage during the slower parts of the day.
“We have had success increasing utilization during off-peak times by implementing this program,” said Jarrett. “Use this program as a tool to help drive numbers in peak and off-peak times.”
THE TRIP will have participants working to meet their fitness goals in an intense yet entertaining fashion. It won’t feel like a trip to the gym for them — it’ll feel like an exhilarating bike ride.
