Genesis Health Clubs is growing again.
Less than a month after announcing the acquisition of three Miramont Lifestyle Fitness facilities in Fort Collins, Colorado, in addition to the brand’s multi-purpose boutique studio, Reve, Genesis Health Clubs has purchased Lincoln Athletic Club in Lincoln, Nebraska.
“I’ve had a wonderful career in this industry and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to turn over my legacy to Genesis Health Clubs,” said Todd Mosser, the owner of Lincoln Athletic Club, in a statement. “They’re true professionals and I know they’ll take care of our members.”
In addition to the purchase of Lincoln Athletic Club, Genesis Health Clubs also announced the official groundbreaking and start of construction of its largest health club to date in the city of Manhattan, Kansas. The new facility will boast 70,000 square feet.
“Manhattan is in for something special,” said Rodney Steven II, the owner and president of Genesis Health Clubs, in a statement. “We are so excited to bring this facility to our members and the community. Manhattan has not seen the true Genesis experience offered in our deluxe, largest clubs. That is all about to change. Manhattan is already a Genesis city, and this will take that to the next level.”
Genesis Health Clubs has doubled in size over the last few years. It operates 44 clubs in five states.
