Cincinnati Sports Club (CSC), locally owned and operated for 28 years in Cincinnati, Ohio, has been committed to facility improvements aimed at enhancing the member experience since its inception.
In 2013, CSC re-committed to that goal through Club Vision 2025, a plan focused on re-programming certain spaces, in addition to taking advantage of appropriate technology available to the club industry.
Phase 1 of the plan was completed in Fall 2013. This phase included the addition of an outdoor fitness pavilion and improvements to the outdoor pool area, among other enhancements. Phase 2 began in April 2014 and included the addition of three new group exercise rooms and a lounge area. This phase saw completion in Spring 2016.
According to Mary Frank, the sales and marketing manager for CSC, reinvesting has been a boon for both members and the club over the years. “Reinvesting has a tremendous impact on the member experience and retention,” she said. “The consumer’s needs are constantly changing, and it is important to measure various aspects of the business before making decisions on where the club will reinvest.”
Recently, CSC has kick-offed the latest installment of the reinvestment plan in Club Vision 2025 v. 2.0, which is based on current market trends. This phase will see the addition of a Community Work Space for members in the lobby, refinements to the adult only outdoor pool, and the expansion of the fitness floor, for example.
“Members are excited that the club does change to meet their needs,” said Frank. “Club Vision 2025 v 2.0 shows our continued commitment to constant improvement at the club. Sharing the updated plans with our members keeps them informed of what is on the horizon for the club. We’ve also developed a culture that embraces change and the challenges that come along with change.”
