EoS Fitness increased its Texas presence overnight bringing its national footprint to 75 open gyms with the acquisition of Houston-based Texans Fit, a five-gym chain founded by the Houston Texans and fitness company M6 Football.
Rich Drengberg, the CEO of EoS Fitness, said this acquisition is part of the company’s continued growth both in existing and new markets throughout 2023. The acquisition expands the company’s portfolio to 75 open gyms nationwide, with more than 15 additional locations opening this year. EoS opened the doors to its first Texas location earlier this year and is opening another Houston area gym later this month in Spring, Texas.
“It has been a pleasure to work with fitness industry veteran Mark Mastrov on the acquisition of these five Texans Fit locations,” said Drengberg. “This move helped solidify our aggressive momentum and accelerated the growth of EoS Fitness in the Greater Houston Area and in Texas overall.
The acquisition of Texans Fit fast tracks the company’s planned expansion in Texas and supports its projections to open more than 50 new gyms in the Greater Houston Area and the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex over the next five years. EoS is continuing its growth in states where the company already has a footprint and is expanding into new states with an additional 100-plus gyms planned to open through 2028.
Texans Fit had employed approximately 120 people. All gym-level employees have been given the option to remain employed through EoS Fitness following the acquisition and gym services will continue uninterrupted.
