FITLIFE: An Insurance Company that Truly Understands the Industry

It can be hard to find an insurance company that understands the specific needs of businesses in the fitness industry. However, Cindy Faulk, director of risk and compliance at Chuze Fitness, continues to work with FITLIFE because of their competitive pricing, helpful representatives and their strong presence in the industry.

“As we all know fitness is a bit of a unique business and many insurers don’t understand that uniqueness,” explained Faulk. “Our broker and her team at Alliant have worked with Chuze for over 10 years and introduced us to the FITLIFE team knowing they truly understand the insurance market as it specifically relates to fitness clubs.”

Below Faulk shares more about the benefits from working with FITLIFE, the personalized attention they received and the knowledge of the industry exhibited by the company.

What are the benefits to your business as a result of this partnership?  

FITLIFE is proactive in providing resources to help us improve Chuze’s already awesome prevention programs. Additionally, I have been looking for ways to connect with other risk, safety and loss prevention professionals that work in fitness and FITLIFE has been a great avenue for making those connections. Brian Rawlings attends IHRSA and Club Solutions Retreats where he stays on top of trends and pain points for the industry.

What are the benefits to your members as a result of this partnership? 

Our members expect their home away from home to be just as safe, if not safer, than their house. Because FITLIFE offers a loss control program that includes consultation and resources geared toward our business model they provide us with safety and prevention programs that get to that uniqueness of fitness. They put boots on the ground and take time to visit our clubs and fully understand our model. Instead of lumping us with retail or office classifications FITLIFE understands that to help Chuze deliver fitness through kindness we must address and mitigate hazards associated with a fitness facility. 

Have you been pleasantly surprised by working with FITLIFE in any way?

Brian Rawlings and his team appreciate Chuze’s culture of kindness and are an extension of that kindness when handling claims. They’re also very responsive when it comes to urgent matters and the feedback loop we have had has been helpful in creating a great relationship which makes my job a little less stressful.

What else can you tell other club owners about the benefits of working with FITLIFE?
