For Tiffany Hamlin, the fitness industry was the family business. Both of her parents worked for AFAA, a fitness certification company, and so their dinner table conversation was fitness and all things fitness education. Her mom was also a group exercise instructor and a director of group exercise for several gyms in her hometown, so Hamlin spent her childhood growing up in the gym environment.
Around 10 years old she started taking her mother’s group fitness classes.
“She would never let me hide in the back,” said Hamlin. “She would always pull me up to the front and put me on display. So, I got used to being in the front of the group exercise room, and by 15 I was certified as a group exercise instructor.”
Today Hamlin serves as the vice president of fitness operations and strategic development for World Gym.
With over 18 years of experience in the fitness industry, Hamlin has dedicated her career to changing lives through fitness. She’s emerged as a leader in fitness program development, technology and vendor relationships.
