Genesis Health Clubs announced the acquisition of Pelican Athletic Club in Mandeville, Louisiana, just north of New Orleans on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. This marks the company’s 78th location nationwide, its third in Louisiana adding to existing Louisiana clubs in Slidell and Baton Rouge, and its ninth acquisition of 2025.
The newly acquired property is located at 11700 Meadowbrook Blvd, Mandeville, LA 70471, and will be known as Genesis Health Clubs-PAC.
This acquisition marks the latest step in a rapid series of strategic expansions for Genesis Health Clubs, which has been expanding aggressively across the Midwest and South in recent years. In just the first eight months of the year, the company has added nine clubs to its portfolio, strengthening its position as the country’s leading privately owned health club brand and demonstrating a long-term dedication to growth in key markets.
