Fitness On Demand has expanded its omni-fitness platform with an updated real-time heart rate training experience designed to increase engagement through gamification, personalized feedback and effort-based rewards known as FIT Points.
The update reflects the company’s ongoing focus on enhancing the connected fitness experience by giving members clearer insight into their performance and progress. Built into the Fitness On Demand app, the enhanced experience combines live heart rate tracking, personalized insights and rewards to help users better understand their effort during each workout, whether training in a club or on the go.
By integrating with members’ wearable devices, the platform turns workouts into measurable, data-driven experiences. The new heart rate training feature includes visual displays of performance on smartwatches and in-club screens, using color-coded heart rate zones, real-time scoring and in-app rewards to create a more engaging and motivating environment.
“People expect more from their gym than just access to equipment. They want insight, recognition and to see the results of their hard work,” said Andy Peat, CEO of Fitness On Demand, in a statement. “Our recent updates deliver exactly that: real-time feedback, performance tracking and data-driven motivation that make every workout more personal and rewarding, wherever they choose to train.”
Key features of the updated experience include real-time heart rate tracking visible on both smartwatches and in-gym displays, effort-based FIT Points earned by time spent in specific heart rate zones, and in-app rewards and challenges that allow members to track daily or lifetime points. The platform also supports workout logging both inside and outside the gym, creating a fully connected fitness experience, and is compatible with Android and iOS devices through the Fitness On Demand Watch App.
For fitness operators, the enhanced heart rate training experience offers a way to increase motivation, engagement and retention without requiring proprietary hardware. The system integrates with the wearables members already use, providing clubs with a cost-effective option for delivering more personalized training experiences.
“We’re continuing to redefine connected fitness with something that’s accessible, intuitive and built around the user,” said Peat. “By continually improving our omni-fitness platform, we’re helping operators create more engaging and rewarding fitness environments, all while eliminating the friction and cost of traditional systems.”
The new heart rate training experience is available free to all Fitness On Demand customers through March, with pricing set at $50 per month beginning in April.
