Amped Fitness officially opened its new Columbus, Georgia location on January 26, bringing a next-generation high-value, low-price (HVLP) fitness model to the market — and adding reformer Pilates to its programming mix as demand for the modality continues to surge across the industry.
The 34th Amped Fitness location introduces Aura Pilates, a reformer-based Pilates experience focused on strength, mobility and core control, alongside a new immersive recovery concept called Lunar Escape, a space dedicated to mental clarity and post-workout recovery.
While reformer Pilates has traditionally lived in boutique studios and premium clubs, it is now moving into gyms of all business models — including HVLP — as operators respond to growing consumer demand for low-impact, strength-based and recovery-oriented training.
According to Future Market Insights, “The Pilates Reformer Market is estimated to be valued at USD 7,645.5 million in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 16,814.3 million by 2035, registering a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.2% over the forecast period.” That growth is pushing more operators to determine how reformer Pilates fits into scalable, accessible gym environments.
“With our 34th opening, this one feels especially meaningful,” said Travis LaBazzo, the CEO of Amped Fitness, in a statement. “We’re introducing Reformer Pilates in a way that’s never been done in the HVLP space. We believe this is the beginning of a new standard — and we’re proud to be the first to bring it to life in Columbus.”
Amped Fitness’ Columbus opening follows a recent announcement from CR Fitness Holdings — operator of 88 Crunch locations across five states — which revealed plans for its Crunch McKinney location to include a dedicated reformer Pilates studio.
Together, the two projects signal a broader shift in how HVLP brands are approaching boutique-style programming.
Amped Fitness boasts around 30 locations across Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and Georgia, with Arizona on the horizon.
