In the spring it can be hard for members to get motivated working out indoors, especially after being cooped up all winter. As a solution many clubs turn to outdoor classes in order to continue to engage with members (and prospects) while they get their fill of fresh air.
Beginning on April 21st, VIDA Fitness will host free outdoor classes each Tuesday evening in The Park at CityCenter in Washington, D.C., as part of the Toned Up Tuesdays program. The classes are free and open to the public in an effort to promote a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.
VIDA Fitness partnered with the CityCenterDC Common Area Association, which strives to foster a unique, pedestrian-friendly mixed-use urban environment that includes retail, residential, civic, cultural and entertainment uses.
Fitness swag from CityCenter DC, VIDA Fitness and City Sports will be passed out at the event, in addition to healthy snacks, shakes and special offers from various local vendors.
According to VIDA Fitness, due to high attendance at last year’s yoga sessions and positive participant feedback, instructors will host primarily yoga classes such as power yoga and vinyasa flow.
In addition, 02 Fitness in Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, will participate in Shape Up Downtown, an outdoor exercise series similar to Toned Up Tuesdays. This is the fourth year in a row 02 Fitness will have participated.
The free event will be offered every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in April and will give participants the chance to try an array of fitness classes led by 02 Fitness instructors such as Ballet Barre, Total Body Conditioning, yoga and Zumba.
Refreshments will be provided by Happy + Hale, downtown Raleigh’s popular fresh juice and salad delivery service.
