FitnessEMS, the fitness industry software company that delivers solutions for health club equipment management and maintenance, has developed a new software that will make running your health club even easier.
FitnessEMS with Service Connect is brand new on the market, and integrates the best elements of previous FitnessEMS software with some new wrinkles driven by customer feedback and market changes.
Club Solutions spoke with Rusty Hosea, the chief revenue officer at FitnessEMS, about Service Connect, and what it means for FitnessEMS and the fitness industry.
CS: Can you describe the new platform?
RH: The new platform takes into account functionality that our customers had asked for over the past eight years. It includes full inventory, Purchase Order System and the ability to manage different asset classes separately. It also includes a companion software for our customer’s service providers — that’s where we got the idea with Service Connect. So we can actually provide our customers a version of the software that they will use to help in adoption of their service provider using our system.
CS: What led to the development of the system?
RH: Learning more about what our customers want versus just best practices. There’s so many different organizations in the fitness industry and everybody operates a little differently. We have now found best practices outside of what we knew due to marketplace changes. That led to us understanding we had to put new things into the system and the old system design wouldn’t allow for some of these things, like open API. Our goal is to be open to all organizations involved in fitness equipment repair and maintenance so that all involved can log into one place versus multiple platforms.
CS: What will it mean for health club owners?
RH: A bigger, better FitnessEMS with scalable cost. So, more value. More savings, more saving time, more saving money, more saving members.
CS: What’s the timetable for release?
RH: We are rolling it out to current and new customers now, basically sort of a staged rollout.
CS: Is there anything else you’d want people to know about the platform?
RH: It’s easier to use. As a health club, you need easy to use logins. Plus, some people want a whole lot of functionality that might be a little more granular. The login filters are super scalable, so now you can dive into a lot of the technical information, run a lot of reports, make important business decisions, or you can be at the front desk and have one click and you’re done. We made it bigger and better, but easier to use for the frontline staff at health clubs.
