Motionsoft: An Intuitive, Easy-to-Use Solution

Choosing a club management software for your gym is an important decision. Once you’ve decided it can be hard to switch, so it’s important to ensure you put a lot of thought into the selection process.

Here, Greg Tayman, the president of World Gym Dale City and Woodbridge, Virginia, explained why he chose Motionsoft over other software providers and what he loves about their service.

CS: Why did you decide to work with Motionsoft over other software companies?

GT: After evaluating a number of top software companies, a lot of factors went into the decision. Motionsoft is cost-effective. The member-facing side of the software is easy to use. The reports are great and customizable. In addition, it’s compatible with other programs or software we use, such as FitMetrix or VFP, which is key.

CS: How would you describe Motionsoft’s customer service?

GT: If I ask for something, they will configure and integrate the system to my liking. As long as it’s within their capabilities, they will do it. They keep evolving and trying to make it better for the customer, which is me. For example, they used to not offer 24/7 support and now they do. At the end of the day, they make it easier on me and my members, which results in more profits.   

CS: Are there any other aspects of Motionsoft’s customer service you think are noteworthy?

GT: If my members or managers are calling, they are very knowledgeable about the software. They answer your questions right then and there. They also help my managers create their own reports. They work really well with my team, and I haven’t had a complaint about Motionsoft from my members.

Also, the system has never gone down. I’ve had that happen at other clubs with other software companies, and with Motionsoft, it’s always been up and running.

CS: Is Motionsoft easy to use and intuitive?

GT: The front end of Motionsoft — point of sale, front desk —is very easy to train employees on. That doesn’t mean you still don’t get everything you need, but it’s very teachable.

CS: Is there anything else other club owners should know about switching to Motionsoft?

GT: It’s very cost effective for the gym. They’re always evolving their software and they’re flexible. They listen to their owners, they listen to their customers to make the system better. It’s very interactive with the members, and to top it off they have great customer service.
