On-demand fitness is one of the hottest trends in the fitness industry. Why? Today, consumers demand convenience, and clubs that meet this demand stand out from the competition.

Here, Martin Johns shares why they chose to offer on-demand classes through FitnessOnDemand at the new Alive by Raintree Athletic Club, and the ROI they’ve earned through the partnership.

CS: How long have you been working with FitnessOnDemand (FOD), and why did you choose them over other on-demand companies?

MJ: I started working with FOD back in June 2017 in anticipation of opening our new club, Alive by Raintree Athletic Club, in December 2017. I chose them mainly because of their platform, content and superior customer service experience.

CS: Why did you want to offer on-demand fitness within your club? What were you looking to solve or hoping to achieve?

MJ: Alive was designed to offer industry leading content and an industry leading experience for our members and guests that utilizes various forms of technology. FOD was one of those technologies that we chose to use. In addition, it allows us to keep payroll down, while still being able to offer a wide variety of classes at any time of the day.

CS: How has your club benefited from FitnessOnDemand? What ROI have you seen?

MJ: Alive has benefited greatly by having FOD thanks to both its unique experience (we are the only place in town that has virtual classes) and the flexibility it offers. With regards to ROI, again not having to pay instructors per class and with several hundred classes taken every week, it speaks for itself.

CS: What do your members like about FitnessOnDemand?

MJ: What we hear the most about what members like about FOD is the flexibility of class times, the broad variety of classes and interestingly, the non-intimidation factor of not having an instructor up on stage.

CS: Why should other clubs consider working with FitnessOnDemand?

MJ: Really for all the things that I mentioned in earlier answers, including the fact FOD is a market leader, is on the cutting-edge of technologies within our industry, and the superior customer service experience they provide. Then there is the financial aspect that if done correctly, is a sound business model.
