When opening a new gym, there is a lot to consider. What will your branding be? What is your marketing messaging? How will you attract members?

Stephanie Wilson, the vice president of operations and the general manager of The Truth Family Fitness & Sports Performance, knew they needed to have an impactful introduction into the community — especially since they were opening in the midst of a global pandemic.

To make a great first impression, they decided to partner with Matrix Fitness. Below, Wilson shares how Matrix has enhanced their offerings and how their customer service stands out from others.

Why did you decide to partner with Matrix — what problem were you looking to solve; or what solution were you looking to incorporate?

We decided to partner with Matrix because we were a brand-new gym opening in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and we needed to make a solid impression. We had done a lot of research on Matrix and their reputation and the quality of their equipment was exactly what we were looking for.

How has Matrix helped enhance your fitness offerings?

The variety of equipment that we offer through Matrix has been the biggest benefit to our members. Matrix has a lot of high-quality options we wanted on the floor, ranging from traditional racks to compact strength units with weight stacks to popular cardio equipment, plus advanced cycles for our spin studio.

What do your members love most about Matrix?

I know our members really appreciate the rep and time counting in between sets on the selectorized strength equipment.

How would you describe Matrix’s customer service and support?

The Truth has a very family feel to it. Having such a great relationship with our Matrix representative falls perfectly in line with our way of thinking. Even the Austin delivery crew for Matrix seems more like friends than just workers. That level of dedication to our success means something to us.

Why should other club operators consider working with Matrix?

The quality of equipment, combined with the professionalism and personal relationships they foster should make any club operator want to work with this company.
