Universal Athletic Club was searching for a club management software that could handle the unique parameters of its billing structure. Sheldon McBee said they wanted to make sure account management was simple and effective for the account management team considering the size of the health club and number of members. 

This led them to partnering with Jonas Fitness.

“Jonas took the time to truly learn the ins and outs of our operation and truly customize the use of their software with our business needs,” said McBee.

Here, he shares more on how Jonas Fitness has eased operations, improved employees’ workflow, provided great data to support business and more. 

What problem were you looking to solve, or what solution were you looking to incorporate?

We wanted the ability to extract more powerful member data for us to take action on improved initiatives. This included better management of our billing cycles, improved collections processes, more seamless account management and better reporting of key performance indicators we rely on to plan for success.  

What are the benefits to your business as a result of this partnership with Jonas Fitness? 

The business has seen significant improvement across the board since transitioning to Jonas. Our member check in process is frictionless, allowing our front line staff to stay productive. Our billing and accounts management team’s workflow is significantly improved. Managing data is everything for us when it comes to making business decisions. Our ability to pull critical data that’s unique to our facility’s model has never been more robust.   

What are the benefits to your members?  

The biggest benefit for our members is their experience is frictionless. From check in, personal account management, agreement process and the experience at point of sale is always headache free. Once in Empower M.E. — Jonas’ membership portal that allows members to pay their bills, manage their payment form, sign up for classes, and more — our members have few issues with managing their own accounts and services.

Have you been pleasantly surprised by working with Jonas Fitness in any way?

It’s been a very good experience with Jonas. We’re particularly happy with the customizability of reporting and the ease of managing multiple departments under one system.

What else can you tell other club owners about the benefits of working with Jonas Fitness?
