Get to know the moderators guiding this year’s roundtable discussions at the industry’s most collaborative event.
The 2025 Club Solutions Leadership Retreat is set to return this September to The Chateaux Deer Valley, an intimate mountain resort just outside the heart of Park City, Utah. Over the course of two and a half days, more than 60 commercial club operators will gather for high-level collaboration through roundtable discussions, networking and team-building experiences — all designed to inspire growth and innovation in the fitness industry.
This year, five powerful roundtable discussions will serve as the cornerstone of the Retreat experience, each led by a seasoned industry leader serving as moderator. These discussions are crafted to spark meaningful dialogue around the top topics facing health clubs today.
Introducing the 2025 Moderators:
Larry Conner
With a career spanning more than three decades, Conner is currently a regional vice president with Genesis Health Clubs. He previously served as CFO, controller and general manager for four large multipurpose clubs in the Greater New Orleans area, including the successful development of Stone Creek Club and Spa. More recently, he consulted on business turnarounds and franchise operations, and served on the IHRSA Board of Directors from 2015 to 2019. Conner is passionate about peer collaboration and said roundtable discussions have been “the cornerstone to my professional successes in this industry.”
Ralph Rajs
Rajs is the VP of education for the Club Solutions Institute, where he helps operators develop stronger, more effective teams. He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in the hospitality and fitness sectors, including serving as COO for several companies, most recently in the tech-fitness space. With a bachelor’s in nutrition, a master’s in personal history of endurance sports, Rajs is dedicated to helping others lead healthy, fulfilled lives and building organizational cultures that reflect that mission.
JoAnne Welle
As the COO at Wellbridge, Welle leads operations, strategic planning, revenue centers and culture-building for a workforce of over 3,000 employees. Her approach aligns decision-making with strategic goals, fosters deep employee engagement and maintains industry-leading operational standards. Known for leading the company’s leadership summits and rallies, Welle brings a wealth of expertise in aligning teams around a shared vision and driving innovation across multiple levels of a business.
