SoulBody Fitness, a global group class programming company has added to its list of offerings. SoulBody has always developed programs that are more mind-body in approach for clubs and studios, keeping them ahead of the curve. Known for their very popular SoulBody Barre program, they have done it once again by introducing SoulBody LIIT and Restore. These programs are mindfully intense, develop strength and target self-care.
SoulBody LIIT (Low Impact Interval Training) helps members build endurance and strengthen the body with low impact interval sequences and body weight training exercises. A 30-minute cardio workout with an option to add additional stretching at the end to further recover and reset the body.
SoulBody Restore is a recovery class that gently warms the body through unique yoga flows, creates mobility through dynamic stretching and uses restorative techniques to release fascial tension with an optional meditation at the end, delivering a relaxed and centered feel.
“There is a big shift towards exercising with a deeper motivation towards movement,” said Stacey Seward Vandiver, the owner and CEO of SoulBody Fitness. “Feeling better mentally and reducing stress levels take precedence.”
With over 75% of the consumer feeling wellness is now more important than ever, these new programs are what members are craving for both mind and body. “We are noticing that more participants are now seeking classes focused on mindfulness,”said Sara Keller, the group programming director of Brick Bodies Fitness. “Barre, Pilates and Yoga are some the most popular classes and many times maxed out.”
“SoulBody Fitness is leading the way to show participants that it is possible to be more kind to your body through exercise and still see the results that they are striving for,” said Vandiver. “The consumer is shifting more towards classes where movement equals self-care with less injuries. Once members get a taste of these programs, they can’t get enough. We consistently receive reports from our club partners how SoulBody’s classes meet the demands of their members and create engagement. This helps with not only retention but acquisition, showcasing a smart, on trend group class schedule.”
“It has been trial and error finding classes that bring our members back to the YMCA and keep them committed,” said Melissa Miles, the director of YMCA Southern Arizona. “Mind-body programming, specifically programs like SoulBody’s LIIT, Restore, Yoga Sculpt and Barre have our members begging for more. Time and time again, they have expressed how much they love the lower impact, yet challenging classes SoulBody offers. And after each Restore class, they audibly sigh and recognize how good they feel.”
SoulBody has brilliantly demonstrated how working out smarter, not harder is on trend. Members can experience these classes both in person as well as virtually, with a full library of classes to offer for a club’s on-demand platform.
The programs are pre-choreographed to bring consistency and quality assurance to the class schedule allowing members to know what to expect. Instructors are fully equipped to teach the programs after going through a live virtual teacher training or a self-paced online course.
