ASF Payment Solutions, one of the industry’s leaders in gym management software, is making daily operations, as well as billing and collections, easier for clubs across the country.
Here, Ed Bogacki, the president of Gold’s Gym Tampa, shares why he partnered with ASF and why he values that partnership so highly:
How were you introduced to ASF and why did you decide to partner with them?
EB: I have been a part of three different billing and collection companies. The first one just cared about how much money they made, and even billed me for the declined members. The second company gave me a great deal, but nickel and dimed me until I couldn’t take it anymore. They were making over $5,000 per month on me, but when I protested being charged $40 for something I thought I should not be charged for, I left because they would not waive the fee.
I would always see ASF at Gold’s Gym Franchise Association (GGFA) events and over time, I developed a relationship with them. I asked them to give me a presentation and they flew down to Florida, which was really big for me. When I started talking to ASF, they said, “Let us come down, we’ll look at your health club, and we’ll show you our software and how it works.” That was impressive to me — a guy flew down just to meet me.
What do your staff and you love most about ASF?
EB: It’s all about the communication. Communicating with them, we have easy access to get ahold of somebody. I can call or text them at any hour of the day and they’ll answer my question. These guys reply back to me right away — they have a tech support team, so if there are any problems with my internet or anything like that, we call them up and they’ll go into my computer and fix whatever the problem is. You’re not just one of 5,000 clubs they have to take care of. I really feel like ASF is a partner with me — that’s why I love them so much. They talk to me and understand my concerns.
How has ASF benefitted your club and your members?
EB: The members can go online and access their accounts, and everybody can sign up as well. ASF will also answer the phone calls for any billing problems — they just give great customer service.
How would you describe ASF’s customer support?
EB: I think it’s the best — it’s just the best. I have no issues with them, especially in regards to communicating with them. They answer me right away.
Why should other club operators consider working with ASF?
EB: Communication. You’re not just going to be another number with them. It’s pretty simple — you’re going to actually be a partner with them. You’re going to feel like they own your business as well, like they’re your partner. They really do care.
