Balanced Habits, an industry leader in education-based nutrition programming, gives clubs the key to helping members achieve better wellness while also driving more revenue.
For CrossFit Nittany in State College, Pennsylvania, Balanced Habits has filled in the gaps in its nutrition programming. Check out what Ann Lehman, the general manager of CrossFit Nittany, loves most about Balanced Habits and how it’s enhanced her studio’s offerings:
How were you introduced to Balanced Habits and why did you decide to partner with them?
AL: We were introduced to Balanced Habits at an NPE MegaTraining event in Fall 2015. We had considered creating our own nutrition offering, but could never get it off the ground. When we connected with Balanced Habits, we learned they had it all figured out and their offering was a good fit for our clientele. It was a no-brainer to partner with them.
How has Balanced Habits helped enhance your club’s offerings?
AL: It’s filled in a huge gap, and rounded out our service offerings. We offer group training, personal and individualized training, and boot camp, so a nutrition offering was the missing piece.
What do your members love most about Balanced Habits?
AL: They love the simplicity and efficacy of the program. They love the recipes too, as well as the tools Balanced Habits provides for building meals.
Why is it so important to have a great nutrition solution like Balanced Habits?
AL: As much as people don’t want to admit it, balanced nutrition requires time and attention each week. Balanced Habits makes it easy for people to make healthy eating sustainable.
Why should other club operators consider partnering with Balanced Habits?
AL: Balanced Habits staff members are top notch — they’re responsive, helpful, innovative, engaged and committed, to name a few. Even though I am a “remote client,” I’ve felt like I’ve been part of their team and family since Day 1. Their program works, period.
