The New York Sports Club rebrand includes one name, a new logo, club updates and new membership offerings.

New York Sports Club (NYSC) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this month along with a rebrand. This year marks a significant milestone for NYSC as it brings all its regional brands together under the NYSC name.

As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, NYSC unveiled its new logo, symbolizing a dynamic evolution while staying rooted in its historic mark. This rebranding effort better represents the brand’s core — the people who make up the NYSC community and their unique stories. The new logo incorporates a hidden ‘M’ within the ‘N’ and ‘Y,’ symbolizing ‘MY’ Sports Club, reflecting the personal connection each member and teammate has with the NYSC community. Regardless of geography, the new logo invokes a personal narrative for everyone, emphasizing NYSC’s people-centric approach.

“We’re founded in New York but our club experience, our mission and now our logo are people-centric,” said Kari Saitowitz, the chief marketing and creative officer of New York Sports Club. “Here’s to the countless inspiring ‘MY’ Sports Club stories that have shaped our legacy and the countless more waiting to be written. Cheers to 50 years strong and beyond.”

The brand’s refresh also includes renovations and upgrades across many clubs by the end of this year, as well as new features and offerings in select clubs. These include performance labs, dedicated personal training spaces, functional field turf areas specifically for functional and athletic training, recovery lounges with HydroMassage chairs, Hypervolt percussion guns, and Normatec boots, new small group training offerings, and new complementary member onboarding workshops. Additionally, NYSC offers member-friendly, month-to-month memberships with no annual contracts.

Emerging stronger from bankruptcy and under new leadership, NYSC is committed to its mission of improving lives through fitness. The 50th anniversary celebration symbolizes not only NYSC’s enduring legacy, but also its determination to redefine the neighborhood fitness experience for the next generation of members.

As part of reinventing the brand, NYSC has a unique collaboration with a local artist to create inspiring murals in clubs. These artworks will serve as a testament to the vibrant communities NYSC has been a part of for 50 years and will infuse locations with local culture and creativity.
