We asked Greg Lyons, the VP of Corporate Development with ACAC Fitness & Wellness Centers, about his experiences as an attendee of the Club Solutions Leadership Retreat. Here, he answers your most pressing questions.
CS: What do you value the most about attending the Club Solutions Leadership Retreat each year?
GL: The opportunity to connect with operators from clubs of all shapes and sizes to exchange ideas and information. I enjoy learning how a training studio operator may solve an issue and contrast that point of view with how ACAC would approach a similar dilemma.
CS: How are roundtable discussions different than attending a traditional educational session at other events?
GL: During the roundtable discussions, there’s a chance to dive head first into an idea and come up with solutions. You get more than the surface-level conversations that seem to dominate other industry events.
CS: What were you most surprised about after attending the Club Solutions Leadership Retreat the first time?
GL: I was surprised about the depth of conversations I could have over a two-day period. I’ve been able to build lasting relationships that allow me to communicate with other attendees on a year-round basis.
CS: Why should other health club owners and operators attend an event like this?
GL: The Club Solutions Leadership Retreat is a “must attend” event on my calendar because of the opportunity to learn and share ideas with an outstanding lineup of smart, professional industry executives.
