As country band Lady Antebellum steps out onto the racetrack at Churchill Downs on May 7, 2016 to sing The National Anthem, the heavens open up for the first time that day, releasing a chilly rain onto the crowd below.

But, the inclement weather doesn’t seem to disturb the 167,227 people who are in attendance. Despite the rain, their voices ring loud alongside Lady Antebellum’s. Together, young and old, people from all walks of life, sing the song that represents the unity of a nation.

Among the crowd are the attendees of The 2016 Club Solutions Leadership Summit, an event that is hosted annually at The Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Kentucky. Like the crowd at Churchill Downs, the attendees also come from all walks of life.

And, just like The National Anthem unites Americans, The Club Solutions Leadership Summit serves a similar purpose — to bring together successful industry leaders from across the U.S. to network and further the goal of providing health and fitness to more people.

“The Club Solutions Leadership Summit is a world-class event with world-class industry leaders,” said Missy Moss, the general manager of Nike Athletic Clubs and a first-time attendee of the event. “In an intimate setting, this is where leaders can discuss important industry topics impacting us all. The combination of health club leaders and suppliers brings a unique perspective and value to these conversations.”

Discussion topics ranged from “technology as the new utility” to “creating high-performing teams” and beyond. And, despite the fact that some leaders operated in the same markets as their peers, a sense of unity and friendship was paramount throughout the three-day Summit.

This interconnectedness would not have been possible without The 2016 Club Solutions Leadership Summit’s sponsors, which included Jonas Fitness, Matrix Fitness, Epsilon, H2 Wellness, Les Mills and Power Systems. Club Solutions thanks you for your current and future support.

And of course, Club Solutions also thanks The Leadership Summit attendees, who year after year make this event the most memorable, exciting and unique few days in the health and fitness industry. Your willingness to network, learn, laugh and have fun never goes unnoticed, or unappreciated.

Until next year.
