Bill McBride: ‘GymSales’s CRM Product is a No-Brainer’

There are dozens of customer relationship management (CRM) products on the market. As a result, it can be difficult to narrow down and decide on the one best suited for your club’s needs.

With this in mind, we spoke with Bill McBride, the president and CEO of Active Wellness. His recommendation? GymSales’s CRM product. Learn why.

CS: How were you introduced to GymSales and why did you decide to work with them?

BD: Tristan Alexander, the founder of GymSales, reached out to request some advice on his product. I was extremely impressed that he had an IT background and owned clubs. He built his product to serve practical real-life sales/customer management issues in his own facilities.

CS: What are the benefits of this partnership to your clubs and business?

BD: I was blown away by the user interface, ease of reporting, ease of use and the social media profile inbound feed. This product is so easy to use and get reporting from — this allows for site and representative accountability like no other product. The ability to see the prospect’s social media profile before they come in gives the site representative a tremendous amount of information for preparing for a proper needs analysis. It’s sophisticated and elegant.

CS: Why should other club operators consider partnering with GymSales?

BD: I believe it is the best CRM product on the market for health clubs, gyms, studios and the like. Hands down — amazing product. Some talk about Salesforce, which is a great product, but the Salesforce representatives I have spoken to will tell you they are such overkill for the health club industry needs and for their current business model.

Additionally, you can get GymSales for an entire site for the same amount of less than one seat on Salesforce. With regard to other providers, I believe GymSales is the most superior product on the market today.

CS: Is there anything else you’d like to share about GymSales that you think other club operators would benefit from knowing?

BD: For the price point and functionality, this CRM product is a no-brainer. Their customer service is also top tier. Great product. Great company. Great leadership. Great price point. I’m a believer on what they are currently providing the industry.
