The Adirondack Club Delivers High-Quality Service with Trainerize

Colin McCullough, the fitness director at The Adirondack Club in Franklin, Massachusetts, knows how time consuming it can be to build out programs.

He was tired of creating publisher documents with pictures and links to videos showing how to do the exercises, then building out Excel spreadsheets to try to scale and share his programs with other trainers. He was very frustrated.

“It was extremely time consuming, and I stopped taking clients because of the amount of time building programs was taking me,” said McCullough. “I needed to find a solution to simplify programming, save time and deliver high-quality service. Trainerize did all three.”

Here, McCullough shares how Trainerize has helped The Adirondack Club create new revenue streams and deliver high-quality service to their members.

What are the benefits to your business as a result of this partnership?

Trainerize adds another level of professionalism and standardization to our programming. With the studio plan that I’m using, I get a custom branded app that has the look and feel of my business, and I can build and share programs with all of my trainers. 

It’s also made all of our work faster. With the time it’s saving my trainers, my team is now able to focus more on client check-ins and following up with leads.    

Finally, it has opened up a new revenue stream for us in the form of digital programming and online coaching. Ideally, we like to train our clients in person, but sometimes that just doesn’t work out or isn’t the right fit. With Trainerize, we are now able to cross-sell or down-sell our clients into one of our digital options or an online training program if they move away, go on vacation, or want to follow quality programming, but no longer want to work with our trainers.

What are the benefits to your members as a result of this partnership? 

The compliance in our youth programming has never been higher. Our adults love having easy access to their programs. The integrations allow them to go to one place and see key pieces of their health data with a few taps. 

Have you been pleasantly surprised by working with Trainerize in any way? 

Scaling and adding new trainers have been a hidden benefit to requiring all our programs to go through Trainerize. I can hire novice trainers, coach them up in a club setting and give them programs to use instead of having them start from scratch and figure it out on their own. 

How often Trainerize updates their features and makes the product better is really surprising. Trainerize is one of the few companies that constantly tries to improve its product and make it better for the user.

What else can you tell other club owners about the benefits of working with Trainerize? 

It has simplified my ability to manage my department, deliver high-quality service and grow revenue.
